This jewellery is hand made in India using recycled fabrics derived mainly from old sari's and vintage traditional cloth. Created by a female collective whose mission it is to empower women from low-income households in their urban villages, by providing them with unique skills and fair wages meaning that they can work from home in their own time to suit the needs of their family. This self-help group also provides decent education for the children of the artisans and ensures the necessary funding for their medical needs.
