1. The Contract
1.1 Homebird House reserves the right to revise these terms and conditions at any time. Customers are, therefore, advised to keep up to date with the contents of these terms and conditions as revisions are binding on all orders placed following such revisions.
1.2 The placing of an order by a customer shall be deemed acceptance of these Terms in their entirety. Any subsequent verbal orders will be bound by the Terms.
2. Personalised and bespoke work
2.1 Unfortunately as personalised art work is lovingly created just for you, we are unable to accept returns. Orders can be cancelled as long as the work has not been started.
2.2 Any changes to personalised art work can be requested by contacting us up until the proof has been accepted for printing.
2.3 Please check your proof thoroughly before confirming the work to avoid reprinting costs. Please note that you are liable for any errors found after you have approved the proof.
3. Gift Vouchers
3.1 Gift Vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase and cannot be redeemed after this date has passed.
4.1 All prices quoted in British Pounds are stated inclusive of all applicable sales taxes.
4.2 Although we try to ensure that all prices displayed on our website are accurate, errors may sometimes occur. If we discover an error in the price of an item you have ordered, we will contact you as soon as possible. You will have the option to reconfirm your order at the correct price or cancel it. Your items will not be shipped until we have confirmed with you. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.
5.1 We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the appearances, colours, textures or finishes of our products that appear on the website. What you see will depend on your monitor and computer equipment, we are therefore unable to guarantee that the product images are an accurate representation of the actual merchandise.
5.2 Ironmongery: Please note that most of our ironmongery is cast iron and therefore may come with some slight variations or minor casting differences which does not impede aesthetic or functionality.
5.3 All products are from our store and may have stickers on packaging/tags, some of which may have been removed and damaged packaging/tags. Also packaging may have been opened to inspect products for damages and therefore may not be in perfect condition.
6.1 We mostly use Royal Mail for our UK deliveries, usually Tracked48. If an item is large or heavy we may use another company. All parcels are sent tracked and start at £3.50. If you require something urgently please contact us on 01723 447223 to arrange an alternative shipping method. Also please note orders placed on Friday may not be shipped until Monday. Orders on Mondays will not be packed until Wednesday.
6.2 Please allow up to 7 working days for delivery following the dispatch of your order
6.3 At the moment parcels are being collected from us the next working day. If you order on a Wednesday evening the parcel will be packed on Thursday and collected from us Friday. Even if Tracked 24 is selected it could still take up to 3 days from when you ordered (longer if ordered on Mondays as we are closed on Tuesdays)
6.4 Once your order has been shipped with the chosen courier company, any damages or loss of your parcel are subject to the specific couriers policies on such matters. Once the parcel has left us it is out of our control until you have received the parcel
6.5 If your parcel is lost or stolen Royal Mail will only investigate after 10 working days from collection
6.6 At the moment we are ONLY shipping to the UK
6.7 Shipping times during holidays and half term may be longer
6.8 Please note due to Royal Mail strikes and issues parcels could be delayed in a way that is out of our control.
7. Cancellation and Returns
7.1 If you are returning an item please ensure you have contacted a member of staff for authorisation.
7.2 You have the legal right to cancel your order within seven days of receipt of your goods (with the exception of any personalised items). If you have received the goods before you cancel your contract then you must send the goods back to the address supplied by us at your own cost and risk. It is recommended you take out an acceptable form of proof of postage and insurance on the goods against damage or loss.
7.3 All damaged items must be reported within 3 days of receiving goods. All items returned must be in the original packaging. Please read our Returns policy for more information.
